Chateau du Courlat - Cuvée Jean-Baptiste 2016
The nose, light and fresh, reveals notes of red cherries and strawberries. The structure of this wine is powerful and tannic. Notes of plum, tobacco and smoke give it more intensity on the finish. A wine whose pleasure evolves with time!
Distinctions
"A very rich and sumptuous Lussac Saint-Emilion, with a multitude of ripe black plum and blackberry aromas and flavors. The palate has dense, assertive black fruits with dark, stony tannins. Drink it from 2022." - James Suckling
"A kind of symbiosis of red and black fruits. (...) It's slightly creamy, fresh, with good tension that gives it drive and fine-grained tannins that give it breadth." - Yves Beck
