Chateau du Courlat 2016
The 2016 Château du Courlat has a rich, very aromatic bouquet. There is a lot of greediness with notes of blueberry, chocolate. In the mouth it is medium-bodied with the generous and particularly silky tannins so typical of this very fine vintage. The final, lively, calls for tasting it again and again.
Distinctions
"The 2016 Courlat has a rich, slightly jammy aroma with hints of cranberry and currant. The mouthfeel is well balanced with juicy, complex but well-controlled tannins with a very balanced and taut finish. This is a very good Lussac Saint Emilion in the making." - Wine Advocate
"A fresh, clean wine with aromas of blueberries, nuts and hints of chocolate. Medium-bodied, with firm, silky tannins and a lively finish." - James Suckling
